This wonderful and lovely image of a little girl playing with a hoop was created by the famous artist Ferdinand Preiss. The many details in the angel-like face, the tiny dress with a picture of a twig engraved in it, and the golden curls give proof of the artist’s mastery. It is a very realistic sculpture signed by Ferdinand Preiss and it consists of 100% bronze, set on a marble base.

As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help oflost-wax casting.

The spiritual father of this sculpture, Johann Philipp Ferdinand Preiss, was born on February 2, 1882, and died in 1943. He is well-known for his many chryselephantines, which combine two very elaborate materials: ivory and gold. This also explains the detail Ferdinand Preiss puts into his mostly realistic and naturalistic figures.
