The Italian sculptor Rembrandt Bugatti was born 6 October 1884 in Milan. The young Italian got his artistic talents from his father – the Italian designer Carlo Bugatti. As a sculptor, he concentrated mainly on the creation of animal sculptures. Bugatti lived as a renowned artist of his time in Milan, Paris and Antwerp. However, in spite of his popularity, he accumulated enormous debts. In 1916, the sculptor ended his own life, yet his works are still popular collector’s pieces around the world.
