The “Bent-over woman on a marble base” is a variation of the “bent-over woman” by Milo. It is also a part of a two part series, the characteristics of which include that they stand on a beige marble base with a Milo-typical female nude. The bent-over woman with her drooping, long hair and her large, delicate arms looks graceful and charming. The naked beauty – completely lost in thoughts – puts the viewer in a contemplative mood. The woman symbolizes harmony of body and mind. The soft crafted bronze sculpture is signed by Milo.

Milo, a respected artist of Portuguese origin, has made a name for itself with its distinctive animal and erotic nude sculptures a reputation that goes far beyond Portuguese boundaries. Milo completed a degree in Fine Arts and has since been working as a freelance sculptor. With his wife and his son Pablo, also a promising, talented artist, he lives and works in the suburbs of Lisbon.
