This cat is a bronze figure, modeled after the so-called “Fat Cat” by Fernando Botero. The Colombian artist is famous for its over-sized human and animal figures. In addition to cats, he has represented horses and birds in a grotesque opulence, which can be seen for example in Berlin and Singapore in public places. The sculpture on the left is signed at the same place like the original.

Fernando Botero (born in 1932) is a Colombian painter and sculptor who has devoted primarily to the representation of thicker plastic people. He is considered one of the most famous visual artists in Latin America. Sensual proportions, volume and technical perfection are special characteristics of his work.
