Otto Gutfreund, a Czech sculptor and the creator of this sculpture, was born on August 3, 1889 in Dvur Krávók and passed away on July 2, 1927 in Prague. Gutfreund attended the Technical College for Pottery in Bechyne – where he learned under Josef Drahonovsky – as well as a private school in Paris, where he studied under the guidance of Émile-Antoine Bourdelle. His works are mainly influenced by cubism as well as abstraction. Otto Gutfreund not only co-founded the Prague artist group >Skupina
