The adjoining bronze figure entitled “The Coachman” was made by the Portuguese artist Milo. Depicted is an emaciated, bent servant who carries a strong obese Chinese in a carriage. The brightly painted Chinese lies in the carriage with a smug attitude and let himself be chauffeured by his servant. The sculpture bears the signature of the artist.

Milo, a respected artist of Portuguese origin, has made a name for itself with his distinctive animal and erotic nude sculptures, a reputation that goes far beyond Portuguese boundaries. Milo completed a degree in Fine Arts and has since been working as a freelance sculptor. With his wife and his son Pablo, also a promising, talented artist, he lives and works in the suburbs of Lisbon.
